Forth Ports

At Forth Ports we do so much more than simply manage cargo passing through our eight ports across the UK. We are intrinsically connected to the success of the local and national economies in which we operate. All of the commodities which we handle, export or distribute allow our economy to thrive and trade, and enhance the quality of life of many people in the UK and countries around the world.

“This has been an incredibly tough time for everyone as we all navigate through the global pandemic and we see this as a great opportunity for the community of Leith to decide themselves how the money is spent.

“We will be speaking to businesses in Leith over the coming months to encourage them to support and contribute to the Fund.”

Charles Hammond OBE, CEO of Forth Ports

The Leith Trust

The Leith Trust exists to act as a catalyst and connector to help make events and actions to enhance the wellbeing of the communities of Leith take place with urgency.

We exist to encourage Leith’s very diverse communities to come closer together.

We were established  in 2011 and since then have focused on working with partners inside and outside of Leith on a range of initiatives.
We have held 3 Leith Conferences to bring all kinds of organisations together to think about and work on ways of building an even better Leith.
We’ve worked with Leith Academy and Developing the Young Workforce to stage careers breakfasts to help the next generation of Leithers make choices about their future.

We work with partners to ensure we remember Leith’s rich history and that today’s Leithers can know about and enjoy our buildings and heritage.

Leith Gives was our latest initiative and has seen us bring public, private and third sector organisations together in a collaboration to provide food and digital connections to vulnerable families and individuals impacted by Covid.
